Pleasure Island is a lovely retreat located approximately
18 miles from Wilmington, North Carolina.  It is an island
that you can easily drive to and is accessible via Snow's Cut Bridge. 
The island is combined of two municipalities, Carolina Beach
and Kure Beach.  Carolina Beach is at the North end of the Island
and Kure Beach is in the South.  In addition to having some of the
most beautiful beaches in the world, there are many things
to do, among them experiencing a number of the Island's
excellent restaurants, visiting the island's Aquarium or parks,
or renting a number of fun toys for the water or the land. 
The island is a boater's paradise with the Intracoastal waterway in the
Island's back yard.  Needless to say there are many magical places to explore.

The weather is lovely with winter temperatures averaging
in the 60s and summer temperatures in the high 80s. 
Pleasure Island is easy to get to, with an International
Airport in Wilmington, and great highways that allow
you to set your cruise control and "relax and enjoy" the drive.
